University (PLNU) seeks a dynamic Director of Philanthropy to join
a team of experienced fundraisers in a collaborative environment
focused on results and growth.
The Director of Philanthropy reports to the Vice President for
University Advancement. The Director is a highly motivated and
experienced fundraising professional responsible for soliciting
financial support from alumni and friends. The incumbent will work
independently, and as part of the Advancement team, to work with
the research team to identify prospects, develop cultivation and
solicitation strategies, solicit and close current, major, and
planned gifts, and ensure the appropriate and timely cultivation of
relationships and stewardship of donors for PLNU. The position
requires regular national, regional, and local travel as well as
attendance at evening and weekend programs and events.
This is a full-time, year round position. This position is eligible
for the University's generous benefits package. Salary is
commensurate with experience and education.
Location: This is a hybrid position that will allow an individual
to work regularly from home and is expected to come to the Point
Loma campus one day a month.
Salary:
Pay range $95,000 - $113,500 annuallyJob Status:Full time***Job
Description:RESPONSIBILITIES:
The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for
extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer
keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, e-mail and
other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor.
Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in
person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift
up to 10 lbs throughout the day.National, regional, and local
travel required for meeting with donors and prospects (i.e.
approximately 40% - 60% of time).***At PLNU, we believe in pursuing
