Overview
Wateridge Insurance Services, an AssuredPartners team, is seeking a Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines Marketing Department! As a Marketing focused Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will market commercial insurance accounts to insurance carriers in efforts to identify the highest quality solution for our customers! - You will partner with our sales and service teams to gather appropriate client information, while responding to inquiries regarding new accounts, negotiating premiums and terms with insurance carrier underwriters, and preparing proposals.
This role is available locally in San Diego, as well as remotely for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone. -

  What You'll Do
  
  • 
    
  • Serves as a resource for Producers and Account Executives and assists in executing marketing strategies and objectives.
    
  • Maintains marketing database including customer/prospect files. Makes recommendations that influence departmental decisions.
    
  • Must be able to manage a high level of insurance related information in a variety of formats and be able to identify appropriate carriers for unsealed risks in a timely manner.
    
  • Follows up with insurance carrier underwriters to answer questions and solicit quotes for new business.
    
  • Negotiates premiums, coverages, terms and conditions for prospective clients. Develops proposals.
    
  • May meet with insurance carrier underwriters and marketing personnel to develop business relationships in order to determine carrier's interest in various classes of business.
    
  • Sends new business submissions, applications, loss history, etc. to appropriate insurance companies.
    
  • Must regularly work with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
    
  • Assists in the analysis of lines of coverage and insurance company trends with the intent of maximizing opportunities for new business placement and customer retention. - Plans and conducts market research to identify opportunities for increased sales. -

      What You'll Need
      
      • 
        
      • Active Property & Casualty License, required. -
        
      • 3+ years commercial insurance industry experience, required - preferably in an agency setting.
        
      • Strong preference to those with Applied EPIC experience.
        
      • Intermediate knowledge of insurance markets.
