Sony Electronics' is looking for a Manager, Creative Services to join our Community Marketing team. This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will be assuming leadership over the creative services team within the Community Marketing division and is responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance for a wide variety of creative and content projects to help drive the brand forward.The Manager, Creative Services must thrive in a rapidly changing environment and be comfortable balancing multiple projects under tight deadlines. - Responsibilities

  • Lead on project management, organization, and communication for a variety of content projects supporting retail (online and in-store) activation of Sony's TV and audio businesses. Owner of creative messaging and direction.
  • Manage a team of multi-functional designers to drive quality, creativity, consistency, and efficiency. Ensure brand guidelines are met, workflow is appropriately trafficked, and deadlines are met.
  • Manage budgets tied to all activities. Collaborate closely with product teams to align on marketing spend and forecasting.
  • Compile reporting and analysis for all content activations, creating monthly reports that can be shared with executive leadership to align marketing goals.
  • Serve as liaison with global content marketing teams to establish strong relations, share assets where applicable and strategize a strong content message with Sony sister companies including -Sony Pictures, Sony Music, and PlayStation.
  • Oversee external agency relationships for production, copywriting, translation, creative concepting needs. Work with marketing teams to understand business needs, budget, timeline and manage project from pre- to post-production.
  • Curate creative best practices and trends that elevate content and engage customers.
  • Collaborate with paid media managers to understand asset performance per social media partner channels, audience profiles, data testing and engagement throughout the marketing funnel.
  • Support head of community marketing to develop larger department strategies, goals, and objectives to support brand and business. Qualifications
    • BS in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, New Media, or Public Relations. -
    • Minimum of 6-8 years related experience in an interactive/digital media field. Experience with an electronics brand a plus.
    • Minimum 2-3 years experience leading an internal team of direct reports -
    • Experience managing outside agency projects and relationships
    • Applicants should be well versed in social content creation, strategy, and tactics. They must have a deep understanding of data, be up-to-date on new trends and technologies, and have a creative editorial eye with a focus on increased engagement and conversion. -
    • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills. -You know how to communicate emotion and incite people to like and share.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to be agile in managing projects for multiple product categories.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to address potential roadblocks with an understanding of prioritization through ROI. -
    • Understand how to build and create content.
    • Attention to detail with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines. -

    • An outgoing, strong personality to match both the community and company culture is desired.The anticipated base pay range for this position is $101,000.00 to $134,000.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, -a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment. - Sony Electronics is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values employees with a broad cross-cultural perspective.
