As a member of the Technical Project Management team, you will primarily work with Data Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to coordinate the delivery of data-focused products and features. Displays initiative and take a proactive approach at finding ways to remove barriers to move a project forwardBuilds strong relationships with partnered engineering, product, operations, and business teamsDemonstrates excellent communication, capable of managing stakeholders in multiple disciplines across management levels (e.g. Directors, VPs, Execs)Promotes team synergy among project team members, and fosters transparent communicationStays focused under pressure, prioritizing multiple work streams in a deadline driven environmentStreamlines communication by inviting the right stakeholders to meetings while keeping discussions focused on solving the right problems.Responsibilities:
Work closely with our Data, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and identify solution paths for competing requirements while managing stakeholder preferences for our data flows, repositories, warehouses, and other data-centric processes.Manage the execution of deliverables in the agile development process, both short and long-term, via clearly defined milestones, and timelines. Execute on several internal and partner data integration projects concurrently, with a remote & distributed Engineering team, while balancing competing priorities.Facilitate and solidify project processes and operations by creating, managing, and updating documentation, and communicating workflow expectations to relevant stakeholders. Keep stakeholders informed of day-to-day project statuses, updates, and risksCultivate relationships across engineering and technical teams while serving directly as the end-to-end liaisonQualifications:
Must be able to work in Pacific Standard Time (PST), San Diego office - Hybrid role1-2 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager leading complex data or technology projectsExperience working with initiatives in Data Engineering, Analytics, or Data Operations teamsStrong knowledge of project management processes including standard agile software development practicesExperience managing interactions of large teams on complex high-profile projects, and are viewed as the "go-to" individualStrong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teamsExperience working with remote and global teams in multiple time zonesExperience in Financial Services is a plusCompetitive pay with bonus, and comprehensive benefits package that includes, but not limited to:
