We are growing and there are opportunities for mentorship and career progression.Vividion was ranked #2 mid-size company on The San Diego Union-Tribune's 2022 Top Workplaces list.Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our exceptional Pharmacology team supporting the discovery and development of our portfolio of novel small molecule therapeutics to address unmet medical needs in Oncology and Immunology. In this capacity, the individual will report into the Head of Pharmacology to devise and execute on the preclinical pharmacology strategy utilizing cross-functional collaborations to ensure delivery of high-quality data packages in support of target discovery through to regulatory filings.Essential Duties and responsibilities:

• Lead a team of scientists conducting in-vivo and ex-vivo assessments, including efficacy and PK/PD studies, evaluation of target engagement, and model systems to support MOA and POC assessments
• Communicate the preclinical pharmacology strategy and present data to internal and external stakeholders, manage external collaborations
• Collaborate with other functional area leads and program team members to enable timely advancement of molecules
• Author regulatory documents and oversee delivery of required reports
• Foster the professional development of the Pharmacology team members, ensuring both strategic and technical growth of individualsExperience and education requirements:
  • PhD with postdoctoral experience in Pharmacology/Immunology/ Cancer Biology or related field and at least 10 years of industry experience
  • Advanced knowledge of and hands-on experience in the area of pharmacological model systems and their use for drug discovery
  • Previous project leadership experience is required
  • Proven track record of successfully advancing programs from discovery to preclinical development
  • Strong communication, leadership and people interaction skills, while working in a highly matrixed environmentRequired Key Attributes:

    • Mentorship abilityPay & Benefits:The annual base salary for this position ranges from $200,000 to $220,000 depending on relevant skills, experience, and education. In addition, this position is eligible for target bonus, long-term-incentives, 401k retirement savings plan with company match, and a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
