Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking to hire a
full-time Assistant Hospital Service Manager -About Veterinary

-Assistant Hospital Services Manager -is accountable for daily
operations of departments in conjunction with the Department Leads,
-Hospital Supervisors, and Hospital Services
Manager.Responsibilities:
Engages in real-time resource
allocation to develop staff schedules (clinical and non-clinical)
to assure maximum productivity and service while managing labor
against budgetRegularly assesses the efficient and effective flow
of clients and pets through the department while also ensuring
proper care from arrival through discharge and follow-upEvaluates
the equipment and staffing needs for the department and recommends
appropriate resources to meet those needsEnsures all department
work areas are clean, attractive, functional, safe, OSHA compliant
and hospitable for staff, patients, and clientsEnsures all
equipment is appropriate and in good working order and receives
regular required maintenanceDevelops and builds teams by
encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation
among team members, incorporating the company's vision, mission,
and core valuesParticipates in the recruitment, interviewing, and
hiring for technical and support staff positionsEnsures appropriate
training for all staff including an exceptional understanding and
delivery of customer service and hospitalityWorks in collaboration
with the leadership team to facilitate change management in the
hospitalServes as mentor and coach for technical and support staff
requiring development and assistance in non-clinical
mattersResolves or approves any payroll matters through supervisors
or directly, as needed.Manages equipment needs within the hospital
Manages day to day scheduling and long term schedule planning for
support staff Supervises support staff personnel and participates
in performance reviews and disciplinary actionsOur compensation for
this role depends on skillset, experience, licensure and typically
falls between $67,000 -and $78,000Education, License and Job
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work
experienceProficient in Microsoft Office suiteSkills and
Experience:
2 or more years of management
experience or 4 years of veterinary industry experience1 or more
years in a supervisory roleStrong problem solving
abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility
to mentor and build relationshipsStrong conflict resolution
