We strive to provide all qualified candidates with an equitable and accessible recruitment process.POSITION SUMMARY ("What are we looking for?")The Accounting Manager takes charge of daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, overseeing the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting processes, and timely submission of regulatory reporting and tax requirements. This person works closely with various departments in The Honest Kitchen to act as a liaison for answering accounting questions and ensuring that the team provides accurate financial information and reports. The Accounting Manager functions within the Finance team and reports to the Controller.SCOPE OF POSITIONManage key areas related to the month-end close, year-end audit preparation, and financial reporting.Leads and oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting processes.Manages and completes performance reviews of the accounting staff.Ensures timely processing of invoices, receipts, payments, reconciliations, and journal entries.Track, monitor, and report on various aging reports.Prepare cash requirements and receipt forecasting.Develop and manage key performance metrics for the Finance team.Manage all tax-related processes, including, but not limited to, W-9s, 1099's, and sales tax.Strengthen controls and compliance within the Finance team via improved internal control and reconciliation processes for audits and bank exams.Act as primary liaison among various stakeholders in addressing accounting questions.Lead automation and transformation efforts of any accounting process.Perform other duties as required to support the Finance team or internal stakeholders.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED ("What are we looking for?")5 - 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experienceAccounts payable and accounts receivable experience a plusBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent degree preferredExperience managing a teamHave a detailed understanding of US GAAP and strong technical accounting skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointExperience with SAP Business One and Concur a plusThe ability to learn and adapt to various software quickly is essentialStrong verbal and written communication skillsBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR THE HONEST KITCHEN ("What do we offer?")We offer a competitive compensation package, including salary and robust employee benefits.
