This position manages human resources, employee / labor relations with significant contributions to overall workforce strategy for a large and diverse Department that represents 15+ complex functional divisions with an annual budget in excess of $40M. Incumbent assumes a leadership role in expanding employee experience & engagement, recognition, retention, succession planning efforts, and client service initiatives.The Manager, People Experience serves as principal advisor to Director and helps facilitate a world-class, happy, healthy, skilled and highly connected diverse workforce from throughout the employee life-cycle. This position designs and shapes our employee experience (EX) strategy and plays a critical role in redefining our organizational culture. Develop and deliver transformation projects and initiatives to increase engagement and support our employee experience strategy.   • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Leadership or related degree and eight (8) years of professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive HR management experience (Typically, 8-10 years) in a large, complex organization with an emphasis in FML, EO/AA Workers Comp, Employee/Labor Relations, compensation/classification, and talent acquisition practices, preferably in a University setting.
  • Advanced skill in performance management, employee development, intensive professional development and/or succession planning programs.
  • Proven leadership experience in personnel management & supervision, performance management, organizational administration and strategic planning with ability to coach, facilitate and influence people at all levels
  • Knowledge of a human resources management system (HRMS), and/or other related business software programs and systems.
  • Understanding of enterprise-integrated payroll & financial systems to manage institutional learning objectives.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft software applications (i.e.,Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Access, Visio) or equivalent tools
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting complex data/workforce / people analytics to resolve a wide variety of complex issues, define problems, interpret trends
  • Experience applying change management and project management principles, techniques, and strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.SPECIAL CONDITIONS

    • Effort outside a 40 hour work week may be required occasionally.
    • The performance appraisal cycle is a critical business period in which vacation requests may not be approved.Pay Transparency ActAnnual Full Pay Range: $59,700 - $124,300 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $28.59 - $59.53 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
