in the Department of Capacity Management is responsible for the
throughput and capacity initiatives across the organization. The
Logistics Manager will collaborate with other leaders within
Capacity Management to oversee the House Supervisors, Staffing
Office, Inpatient Float Pool of career and contract labor,
Transporters and Lift Team. Involved in ensuring optimal patient
outcomes through effective leadership and/or provision of patient
care delivery in assigned nursing unit(s) or area(s).Promotes
environment for a shared voice in nursing practice and exchange of
ideas to continually improve nursing and patient care outcomes.
Accountable for the quality, safety, patient experience and
cost-effectiveness of patient care. Consults and collaborates with
other health care professionals to coordinate the management of
patient care. Serves as a resource to staff, physicians, students
and others. While not required, a cover letter is highly
recommended when applying to this position.MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of
California.
- Seven (7+) or more years of relevant experience, including a
minimum of three (3) years of acute care RN experience in hospital
operations and/or patient flow, house supervision, or charge
nurse.
- Current BART certification, or BLS/CPR certification at time of
hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire
date.
- Demonstrated hospital management skills, with progressive
expertise in patient care services.
- Proven knowledge to manage disaster incidents, sentinel events
and ability to problem solve with critical thinking skills.
- Strong knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology
and patient care workflows and processes.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as
related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance
environments.
- Must have excellent skills to communicate and effectively
influence all levels of staff, physicians, patients and external
constituents, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment,
and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect
with team members at all levels.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Nursing or relevant area.
- Specialty certification in relevant area.
- Process improvement / Lean Six Sigma experience
- Experience with data analysis; comfortable with interpreting
data related to daily hospital operations.SPECIAL CONDITIONS

$92,600 - $232,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage
is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $44.35 - $111.21 Factors in
determining the appropriate compensation for a role include
experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and
certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The
Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted
salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to
pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader
than what the University anticipates to pay for this position,
based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining
agreements (when applicable). Job offer is contingent on successful
