Risk Manager will coordinate and oversee implementation of CONAM's
risk management strategies, policies, and procedures; identify
risks and coverage needs; and work closely with senior leadership
and third-party stakeholders, including brokers, carriers and
third-party adjustors, to minimize risk exposure and ensure
business continuity.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:We are currently
looking for a Risk Manager to work onsite at our San Diego
Corporate Office.This position is Full-Time Salary Full BenefitsPay
Range: $100,000 - $130,000Duties and
responsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to,
the following:InsuranceManaging the organization's insurance
programs, including identifying and assessing insurance needs,
coordinating placement of insurance policies, and overseeing
insurance claims. Additionally, reviewing and analyzing contracts
and agreements to identify and manage potential risks and
liabilities.Risk and Crisis ManagementDeveloping and implementing
risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize potential
risks. This may involve creating policies, procedures, and
controls, as well as providing guidance and training to employees
to manage risks effectively.Developing and implementing crisis
management plans to effectively respond to unexpected events, such
as natural disasters, cybersecurity breaches, or reputational
crises. This may involve coordinating with cross-functional teams,
communicating with stakeholders, and providing leadership during
crisis situations.Promoting a strong risk management culture across
the organization through training, awareness campaigns, and ongoing
communication. Encouraging associates to report potential risks and
incidents and fostering a proactive approach to risk management
throughout the organization. All other duties as
assigned.ComplianceEnsuring the organization's compliance with
relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards including OSHA
and Workers' Compensation. This will involve reporting, conducting
audits, monitoring compliance activities, and implementing
corrective actions to address any compliance gaps.Reporting &
AnalysisProviding regular reports and updates to senior management
on the organization's risk profile, risk mitigation efforts, and
compliance status. Conducting data analysis and risk assessments to
identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.Continuous
ImprovementContinuously monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness
of risk management strategies and making recommendations for
improvements. Staying updated on industry best practices, emerging
risks, and regulatory changes to adapt risk management strategies
accordingly.CommunicationCollaborating and communicating with
internal and external customers, such as executive leadership,
employees, insurers, and auditors, to ensure a comprehensive
understanding of risks and risk management strategies.Leadership &
Team ManagementLeading and managing a team of risk management
professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Setting
department goals and objectives, managing budgets, and overseeing
day-to-day operations of the risk management function.All other
duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBachelor's
degree, preferably in risk management, finance, business
administration, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience
in risk management, preferably in a leadership role.Strong
understanding of risk management principles, practices, and
methodologies.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional
teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
of the organization.Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and
industry standards related to risk management.Professional
certifications in risk management or related fields, such as
Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Risk Professional (CRP), or
Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA), are a plus.Property
Management experience preferred.Experience with property management
software.Must be proficient with computer programs needed for
specific position including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and
Power Point.Ability to work under tight deadlines and consistently
meet deadlines.Ability to draft correspondence and respond to
inquiries and client concerns effectively and independently.Ability
to define problems, develop potential solutions, and make sound
decisions. Must be able to prioritize, organize, and address tasks
with efficiency.Exhibit professionalism, professional attire, and
demeanor always.Demonstrates effective communication skills
consisting of oral, written and listening skills.Must work
effectively with co-workers, customers, and others.Must be able to
work well under pressure and deadlines, as well as work
independently and collaboratively.Strong organizational skills that
reflect ability to perform multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent
