seeks a Structural Biologist (R5-R7) to support structure-based
drug discovery (SBDD)projects focused on G protein-coupled
receptors (GPCRs). Perform structure determination and drug design
for GPCR and membrane protein targets as well as soluble protein
targets. Apply biochemical, biophysical, and computational
techniques to accelerate generation of high-quality reagents for
X-ray crystallography and cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM)
studies. Determine structures and co-complex structures of protein
targets for the design of small-molecule and antibody therapeutics.
Develop integrative approaches to SBDD incorporating data and input
from structural biology, biophysics, protein biochemistry, and
medicinal chemistry teams. LI-DNI Position requires a Ph.D. in
Structural Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a
related field, and 2 years of academic or employment experience
with GPCR biology, pharmacology, and structure-based research
studies of GPCRs. Academic or employment experience must include a
minimum of: 2 years of experience with protein engineering, protein
biochemistry, and protein structure determination by X-ray
crystallography or cryo-EM; 2 years of experience with construct
design, molecular cloning, and protein expression and purification;
2 years of experience with chromatographic methods for isolating
recombinant proteins and HPLC/FPLC systems; 2 years of experience
with SDS-PAGE, Western blot, thermal shift assays, and ELISA; and 2
years of experience with computational tools for protein structure
determination and analysis, including CCP4, Phenix, COOT, PyMol,
and Chimera. Part time telecommuting may be permitted. Up to 10%

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is 168,709.00 -
178,709.00 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for
