Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Future Programs Lab IPT Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This leadership role is located in San Diego, CA. The Lab IPT Lead is responsible for managing the design, development, and implementation of new lab capabilities, as well as the planning, operations and maintenance of the labs. Additionally, the qualified candidate will report to the Chief Engineer, and be a key member of a small team supporting business development, capture, and R&D activities intended to bring in new franchise programs to the division. Program pursuits include domestic and international opportunities in next generation ISR, mobility, advanced VTOL and Targets. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a growing team that is driving the future of the division. The position requires technical knowledge of various systems, design, development, implementation, and testing with a strong foundation in laboratory integration and test. The selected candidate must act with speed, guide others in producing quality work, be self-motivated, and have the ability to communicate complex technical issues and solutions. A successful track record of program performance, interpersonal team building skills, and management experience is required. Key Responsibilities: Manage 8,000+ sq. ft. of the Future Programs lab space. Lead conversion of labs from previous program configuration to support business development and R&D activities. Be a thought leader in conceptualizing and realizing innovative uses of lab space to support marketing and capture objectives.
Lead development of I&T inputs to white papers, RFIs and proposals
Lead test activities, including NG support to partner/supplier led test activities and flight demonstrations
Support customer engagements as required
Act as primary technical POC for supplier interactions in support of all Future Programs activities

Must have prior management / leadership experience that includes oversight of engineering projects or program activities
Must have an active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance Preferred Qualifications: Active Top Secret clearance
Experience establishing Test and Evaluation labs in support of pre-proposal / EMD program activities
Test experience working in an autonomous system laboratory environment
Experience implementing test automation practices
