Job Description:

Our client, a San Diego hospital system, is looking for a talented Medical Intake Coordinator to add to their team. This position operates onsite. Responsibilities:

• Entering & maintaining admission information for patients
• Data entering demographic, clinical & insurance information
• Obtaining authorization & re-authorization for services to be provided from a variety of third party payors
• Working with commercial health plans, PPOs, HMOs, MediCal, CCS & other guarantors
• Working closely with clinical & billing staff to ensure optimum reimbursement for services rendered Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance verification
