New employees will begin on Step A ($3,906.94), Step B ($4,102.29) with 18 months of verified, paid, full-time equivalent related job experience or up to Step C ($4,307.40) with 36 months of verified, paid, full-time equivalent related job experience. For purposes of salary placement, 7.5 semester units (or equivalent quarter units) of directly related coursework from a regularly accredited institution will be equivalent to one (1) year of job experience. Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA . This position is FLSA Non-exempt (may accrue overtime). Miramar College is seeking an Instructional Lab Technician to support our Aviation programs. The position reports to the Dean of Business, Technical Careers, and Workforce Initiatives. The ideal candidate is someone who is highly qualified and highly knowledgeable in the field of aviation and deeply committed to student success. Applicants should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to support our diverse student population and aviation programs. • Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge in working with faculty, staff, and students of great diversity in socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including those with different levels of academic preparation and varying physical and learning abilities.
• Demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff.
