Our surgical support staff focus on the unique skills required for assisting patients before, during, and after procedures. \n\n Join our Scripps operating room team as Surgical Tech where you will ensure OR rooms are ready for surgery, including all case-specific supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use. You will monitor the sterile field throughout procedure. Scrubs for cases, anticipates the needs of the physician and operating team. Takes initiative to utilize appropriate support services to resolve issues. Positions and transports patients. Organizes room cleanup and ensures efficient room turnover, including decontaminating equipment as necessary.\n\n This is a full time 12 hour night shift at Scripps Green hospital.\n\n \n\n The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:\n\n\n\tInternal candidates\n\tRehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago\n\n\n In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met\n\n\n\tMust remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)\n\tMust remain in original department/specialty\n\tMust remain in original Job Title\n\tTransfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.\n\n Required Qualifications\n\n\n\t1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.\n\tCurrent BLS from the American Heart Association\n\tExcellent communication skills. Basic computer skills. Able to multi-task and work well in a team environment. Detail oriented and able work well in a fast-paced, high stress environment.\n\n\n Preferred Qualifications\n\n\n\t3 years' experience in the main OR\n\tCST Certification\n\n Scripps Health is an equal opportunity employer.
