Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) space vehicles transmit
the power of a lightbulb, they are 13000 miles away, and are moving
four kilometers per second. The received signals are commonly one
hundred times weaker than cosmic microwave background radiation
left over from the Big Bang and arrive next to interfering signals
ten billion times stronger, just a few MHz away. Our GNSS team is
part of Apple's Cellular organization. We are a vertically
coordinated engineering team spanning RF, mixed-signal analog
design, systems engineering, Design Verification, RTL design,
firmware and software engineering, Test, and Validation. Our focus
is on highly energy-efficient and robust GNSS receiver design. We
develop GNSS technology that touches hundreds of millions of lives,

a part of our team. As a GNSS RF Systems Lab Engineer, you will be
a key member of part of the GNSS RF System team and design, review,
purchase, and implement the HW platforms and lab equipment to
enable this mission. Key Qualifications The ideal candidate will
have the following qualifications: Experience in board bring-up,
testing, and ensuring the stability of operation Debug issues
related to poor boards design practices, the root cause of the
issue, simulate it, and come up with solutions Capable of reworking
SMAs and BGA components up to 0201 Proven understanding of RF test
equipment such as network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, vector
signal analyzer, vector signal generators, etc. Knowledge of
RF-centric board design and test for internal validation usage
Review, represent and promote the team's interests with regards to
the board designs and layouts for our products Knowledge in test
and script development (Python, MATLAB, PERL, TCL) Strong RF
background and familiarity with RF system measurements BS + 3 years
of relevant industry experience handling RF lab, testing, and debug
Strong written and verbal communication skills Description You will
work with RF System team members on: Design, review, or supervise
all RF boards used by the team during any phase of the design
cycle, after collecting all internal requirements Be responsible
for inventory in the lab both in terms of internal boards as well
as tools and equipment used by the team Purchase new machines,
tools, and equipment as needed Rework the RF boards used either
internally or through outsource groups Collaborate with RF bring-up
and integration teams on RF board layout, test interface
methodology, programming sequence, and RF calibrations Bench test,
debug, and characterization of RF System building blocks including
transmitters, receivers, PLLs, PAs, ADC/DAC, Oscillators, and PMU
Characterization of RF system parameters such as Gain, NF, PN,
sensitivity, etc. Debug of chip level or board level de-sense and
spur issues Generation of RF design/verification/test report
Education & Experience BS + 3 years of relevant industry experience
is required Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits At Apple, base
pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined
within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you
grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is
between $131,500 and $243,300, and your base pay will depend on
your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple
