DN02*2 years of L&D experience is required**Required:**- Required State License **-BLS, ACLS (AHA)**-NRP*Labor and Delivery Nurse duties and responsibilitiesLabor and Delivery Nurses work with only a few patients at a time, providing support for the mom and baby before, during and after labor. Labor and Delivery Nurse job duties may include:* Taking vitals for the mom and baby* Administering medication* Monitoring contractions* Identifying complications during labor and delivery* Communicating the moms condition and needs to the Physician* Coaching the mom during labor and delivery* Caring for the mom after she gives birth* Providing emotional support* Quick decision-making skills to provide proper medical care* Excellent communication skills with patients and Physicians* Technological aptitude to operate medical equipment* Ability to establish rapport with patients quickly* Expertise in various medical procedures, including inserting IVs and taking vitals* Understanding of when to escalate the situation if medical intervention is necessary* Ability to handle emotionally difficult situations, such as stillbirths or complicationsJob Types: Travel nursing, ContractPay: $3,314.00 - $4,000.00 per weekMedical Specialty:* Labor & DeliveryPhysical Setting:* Acute careExperience:* Labor & delivery: 2 years (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
