TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in San Diego, California, 92123 About The Position Weekly Pay Range - $2379 To $2643 Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day & Night Shifts Available (3x12-Hour; Variable) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 2 full years of recent independent PICU experience required, with experience in ventilators, multiple monitors, specifically CVP and EKG. License: California license required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Pediatric experience, willingness to float between units (CVPICU & NICU), and compliance with flu shot requirements. Job Description: - Manage a high acuity unit dealing with various critical conditions such as injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi-system failure, poisonings, near drowning cases, meningitis, post-operative cardiac surgical care, and neurosurgery. - Provide nursing functions at the standard level of practice. - Participate in a flexible schedule, willing to work both day and night shifts. - Maintain a patient ratio of 1:1-2. - Adapt to floating within the hospital and to satellite NICU locations when required. - Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care. - Commit to working 2 out of 3 major holidays with no Thanksgiving or Christmas time off. - Complete non-billable modules before the start of the position, potentially taking 6-8 hours. - Ensure correct personal information is recorded in systems to prevent delays in orientation. - Be aware that orientation hours are billable up to 12 hours and must be completed successfully. 25790901EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Different healthcare facilities may have varying levels of technological advancements.
