About The Position We are seeking a Pediatric Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 8, 2025. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with day shifts from 8am to 5pm. The assignment focuses on pediatric care, serving a diverse patient population in a setting where the majority of patients are Spanish speaking, supported by translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Dec 8, 2025 - LOA: 60 days - Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Physician Assistant - Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm Responsibilities and Duties - Provide outpatient pediatric care to a diverse patient base, with approximately 75 percent Spanish-speaking patients - Work with support staff including translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants to optimize communication and care delivery - Manage a patient demographic with 78 percent covered by Medical/Medicaid - Utilize experience in FQHC, rural health, or IHS environments as applicable - Ensure all care meets current clinical and regulatory standards - Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality pediatric services Additional Information - Locum experience is required - Recent experience in a pediatric setting is essential - Must have active California licensure, DEA, and furnishing license - Required board certifications: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (PPCNP-BC) - Please confirm any requested time off prior to submission Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
