Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job
Description/n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a
CVICU night shift position requiring a current CA license, recent
CVICU and travel experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a hospital
setting - Night shifts: 3x12 hours per week, 19:00 to 07:30 - Care
for critically ill cardiovascular patients using advanced
monitoring and life support equipment - All units use Epic for
electronic medical records - Required to float within the
organization to similar or lower acuity units (excluding ED) and
occasionally to other hospitals in the system with 2 hours notice
before shift - Minimum of four weekend shifts per 4-week cycle and
at least one winter holiday, including the holiday weekend - Must
be positive and upbeat as valued team attributes - Floating may
include other hospital locations within the health system - Not
eligible if local within a 100-mile radius or on assignment in San
Diego for 9 months or more - One supervisory-level reference is
required for consideration - Candidates may only submit to one job
in the health system at a time - Returned staff must wait 1 year
before returning to the system - May extend contract for a maximum
of 1 year, after which a 1-year break is required before returning
- International travelers must have at least 1 year of
recent/current U.S. experience /n /n Requirements/n - Active CA RN
license (permanent or temporary, no EMSA) in hand at time of
consideration - AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
required at time of consideration - Minimum 2 years of CVICU
experience, with at least one year of recent CVICU work - At least
1 year of total travel RN experience, including 6 months of
continuous recent travel RN experience without significant gaps -
1.5 years of continuous specialty experience at similar patient
ratios - Recent Epic or combined Epic/Cerner EMR experience in the
last 6 months - Maximum 7 days of requested time off /n Benefits/n
