About The Position We are seeking a board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 1, 2025. This full-time opportunity features Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm day shifts, and focuses on both hematology and oncology cases in a predominantly outpatient setting. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Dec 1, 2025 - LOA: 10 days - Provider Type Needed: Hematologist/Oncologist - Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Responsibilities and Duties - Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in both outpatient (95 percent) and inpatient (5 percent) settings - Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 16 - Diagnose, treat, and monitor patients with a variety of hematologic and oncologic conditions - Collaborate with ancillary staff, including physician assistants, registered nurses, and nurse practitioners as available - Utilize Epic EMR for all patient documentation and care coordination - Adhere to best practices and maintain high standards of patient care throughout the assignment Additional Information - Must have experience working in rural settings - Board certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology is required - California medical license required - Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
