About The Position We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner for an 80-day locum tenens assignment in California. This role begins on Dec 8, 2025, and involves day shifts, Monday through Friday, providing outpatient adult primary care. The assignment requires expertise in chronic care and the ability to manage multiple issues within 20-minute patient blocks. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Dec 8, 2025 - LOA: 80 days - Provider Type Needed: Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm Responsibilities and Duties - Provide outpatient adult primary care, focusing on chronic disease management - Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans - Manage complex cases efficiently within 20-minute appointment windows - Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes - Ensure compliance with national clinical and safety standards Additional Information - Minimum 3 years of experience in an internal medicine or family medicine outpatient setting as a Nurse Practitioner - Must hold a national certification; AHA versions of required certifications only - Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) - Required board certifications: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine - Must be licensed to practice in California - Candidates credentialed with KP SCAL may be eligible for an earlier start date Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
