years of combined experience in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum
with demonstrated competency in both areas. License: Active state
nursing license required upon submission. Certifications: ACLS
AWHONN Advanced AWHONN Intermediate BLS NRP BSN Must-Have:
Cross-trained and willing to rotate among all perinatal units.
Description: Scheduling rules require availability for additional
shifts based on unit needs. Manager will provide a minimum of two
weeks' notice for schedule changes. This is a Perinatal Float Pool
position. Nurses must be cross-trained and rotate among three
perinatal units. Patient demographics include neonates,
adolescents, and adults. The unit is staffed with interdisciplinary
support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and
social services. Patient diagnoses include high-risk obstetrics,
multiples, and pre-eclampsia. Special procedures include
circulating and recovering patients from Cesarean sections. The
unit consists of multiple labor and delivery rooms, OR suites, and
recovery rooms. Travelers must be willing to float to various units
as needed. Candidates will float within facilities based on census
and unit requirements. References from two manager contacts are
required. Background information will be required for submission.
Return staff who have not been employed for one year may apply.
Modules are non-billable and completed during orientation and
