SilverRide is seeking a compassionate and responsible Shared-Ride Transportation Driver to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting senior citizens by providing safe, courteous, and efficient transportation services. You will help our clients maintain their independence by escorting them to various appointments, social events, and other destinations. Our drivers are more than just operators; they are companions and enablers of mobility and freedom for the elderly community. Safely transport senior citizens to and from various appointments and social events. Assist clients with getting in and out of the vehicle and escort them to their destination when required. Maintain prompt schedules while ensuring client safety and comfort. Provide companionship and conversation during rides to enhance the client experience. Manage trip logs and maintain accurate records of travel activities. Adhere to all traffic and transportation laws. Inspect the vehicle before each shift for safety issues and ensure it is clean and well-maintained. Excellent driving skills and familiarity with local roads and routes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively. Compassion and understanding for the elderly. Basic mechanical skills to manage minor vehicle maintenance. Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record. CPR and First Aid certifications preferred but not required.
