Description: Family Medicine Residency Program Director
Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts Program development : Create the
program, including setting goals and objectives. Provide
leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the Family Medicine
Residency Program. Ensure compliance with ACGME and institutional
accreditation standards and requirements. Develop and implement a
curriculum that supports resident education and aligns with best
practices in family medicine. Recruit, develop, and mentor faculty
members, ensuring a high standard of education and mentorship.
Oversee the resident selection process, ensuring adherence to
National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) guidelines. Monitor
resident performance, provide regular evaluations, and implement
performance improvement plans as needed. Facilitate scholarly
activity among faculty and residents, including research, quality
improvement projects, and community engagement. Develop and oversee
program policies and procedures, including duty hours, patient
safety, and wellness initiatives. Maintain an effective working
relationship with the Teaching Health Center administration,
affiliated training sites, and external stakeholders. Serve as a
mentor and role model for residents, promoting professionalism,
ethical practice, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Ensure
financial and operational efficiency of the residency program,
including budgeting and resource allocation. Background Profile:
Family Medicine Residency Program Director Prior experience in
residency education or medical education leadership is required
Must be interested in working with and serving the medically
underserved patient population CA License Candidate must be Board
Certified DEA Certificate/License, CPR Card Bilingual in Spanish
