Description: The Organization San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center
(SG/PRC) is a private, nonprofit agency contracted with the
California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to provide
services and supports to individuals with intellectual and
developmental disabilities. We proudly serve 30 cities across the
Foothill, Pomona, and El Monte Health Districts within Los Angeles
County. Our services span the full lifespan—from infants and
toddlers, school-age children, and transition-age youth to adults

we serve. Position Description Under the general direction of the
Director of Clinical Services, the Manager of Psychological
Services oversees the development, implementation, and assessment
of psychological programs. This role offers a unique opportunity
for a licensed clinician to combine their clinical expertise with
their leadership skills, contributing to the development and
delivery of high-quality psychological care. Essential Job
Functions - Provide administrative oversight of day-to-day
operations of psychological services. - Support Psychological
Consultants to the regional center and ensure best practices. -
Supervise students in psychology programs and provide appropriate
supervision hours if applicable to staff completing clinical
degrees in psychology. - Complete psychological evaluations and
assessments, including eligibility determinations for regional
center services. - Review psychological evaluations and school
records for eligibility. - Participate in interdisciplinary teams
for eligibility. - Represent Regional Center at administrative
hearings as it relates to eligibility. - Support Service
Coordinators in monitoring progress in services and assists with
interagency documentation. - Provide training to staff and service
providers. - Assist with documentation for other agencies (e.g.,
IHSS, SSI). - Consult with regional center staff, the service
providers, and other vendors regarding the needs of the individuals
served. - Participate in team conferences and review assessments
and intervention plans completed by other providers/agencies. -
Provide resource and referral information to Individuals served
and/or their representatives when appropriate. - May provide
services at the individuals residence, ensuring a natural setting
for the individual served. - Perform additional duties that support
departmental and organizational goals. Requirements: Employment
Standards - Doctoral degree in psychology. - A valid license as a
psychologist issued by CA State Board of Psychology. - One year
experience working with individuals with developmental
disabilities. Knowledge and Abilities - Knowledge of persons with
developmental and mental disabilities, behavior management theory,
principles, and practices; psychopathology; developmental
psychology; counseling techniques; crisis intervention; theories
and practices of psychological testing; quality management
principles; effective training methods; community services and
resources. - Must have knowledge in administering psychological
evaluations using psychological tools. - Ability to make oral and
written presentations. - Ability to develop effective liaison
relationships with providers. - Knowledge and experience in
completing psychological evaluations (cognitive, adaptive, ASD
assessments). - Ability to effectively plan and organize various
job requirements and adhere to highest standards of quality in an
efficient manner. - Early childhood experience preferred. - Ability
to adapt to changing priorities. - Knowledge of evidence-based
services for people with developmental disabilities and ASD. -
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Other Essential Requirements - Employees using a private vehicle
for agency purposes must maintain a valid driver's license and
minimum liability insurance coverage. Physical Demands & Work
Environment - Primarily sedentary work performed in an office
environment. - Occasional driving to and from field visits and
meetings. - Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a
computer and standard office equipment. - Clear verbal
communication in person and by phone. - Occasional standing,
walking, bending, and reaching to access files and supplies. -
Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of items up to 25 pounds. -
Adequate visual acuity to read documents, use a computer monitor
for prolonged periods, and review detailed information. - Work
occurs in a typical office setting with standard lighting,
temperature, and moderate noise levels. - Employees are expected to
