Primary Objective of Restaurant Manager Position
The primary objective of the Restaurant Manager is to ensure that
the department functions efficiently, while
delivering quality, consistent service to all guests.
--- Oversees daily operations of the Restaurant
--- Accountable for quality service for the guests in the
--- Establish and maintain quality standards of service
--- Recruits and oversees training of Front-of-the-House staff
--- Works with Chef in creating restaurant and bar menus.
--- Schedule and arranges special events and/or special
services/amenities for patrons.
--- Assign work tasks & coordinates activities of restaurant and
lounge personnel to
ensure prompt and courteous service to patrons.
--- Inspect lounge and dining room for neatness and cleanliness,
and requisitions table
linens and other supplies.
--- Design and implement marketing programs/promotions that
maximize revenue and loyalty.
--- Performs table touches to ensure quality service and
immediately corrects any problems
--- Reward employees who utilize their empowerment to meet or
--- Financial accountability for department
--- Acquires a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and
local information to
respond to customer questions in these areas as required
