This is a great opportunity to join our Scripps Food Service team at Scripps Corporate in La Jolla supporting the caf-- and retail customer service.

The Lead for Food and Nutrition Services provides leadership and coordination in the following Food Service operational systems:

* Safe food handling, volume food production, menu development and modification, meal assembly and portion control, inventory management, food service equipment operations, customer service, human resources management, financial performance, infection control/sanitation and overall department function to ensure compliance.
* Participates in the planning, coordination, preparation and volume production of meals for patients, cafeteria, and catering/special events and focusing on providing excellent customer service.
* Complies with JCAHO, Title XXII and other regulations.

This is a Full Time (80 hours every two weeks) benefited position working 8-hour varied shifts. Located at Scripps Corporate Offices in La Jolla.

Required Qualifications:

* 1 year experience in food & nutrition services.
* Food Safety Manager Certification
* Must be able to speak, read and write English

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associate Degree in related field OR Certified Dietary Manager
* Experience working in a healthcare diet office
* Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent problem solving, team development, and strategic planning skills
* One year of leadership experience
