Job Description:

Bar/Restaurant Group in Pacific Beach is looking for a Restaurant Manager

Compensation: Ranges from 65-70k depending on qualifications

Daily duties and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

-Oversee/Manage day to day operations

-Assist managers, servers, bartenders and cooks as needed

-Perform opening/closing duties when needed and be responsible for overseeing opening/closing duties of all employees

-Maintain cleanliness and appearance of restaurant at all times including establishing and maintaining proper ambiance

-Help develop specials and marketing initiatives

-Oversee all staff and enforce policies as needed

-Knowledge of Toast POS system is a plus, but not required

-Familiarity with 7shifts (scheduling software) and RASI (accounting software) is a plus, but not required

-Must have server and/or bartender experience (at least 2 years, at least 5 years of total restaurant experience.)

-Must understand job duties and requirements of bar and serving positions.

-Oversee and be responsible for end of day depositing/balancing/logging

-Needs to be reliable, on-time and comfortable with opening time of 10am and closing time of 2am (on weekends). Shifts are 8 hours, but will typically involve either opening or closing duties.

-Needs to obtain or have food handlers card

-Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is a plus, but not required.

-Ability to schedule effectively, and ensure that the restaurant is properly staffed, while keeping labor costs low.

-Willingness to get hands dirty, help employees with job duties as needed, and ability to lead by example. As a manager, you should be able to say "I will never ask an employee to do something that I am not willing to do."

-Familiarity with inventory management, and ordering from multiple vendors.

-Assist General Manager and Owners as needed

Floor Manager - at least 1 year of Management or at least 4 years of Bar/Serving in a Leadership role

Manager Responsibilities include:

- Accomplish human resources objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and reviewing job offerings; enforcing policies and procedures.

- Achieve restaurant operational objectives (including sales and labor goals) by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.

-Direct the employees in strategies that improve beverage cost, reduce unnecessary comps/voids, prevent walk-outs, increase guest spend amounts, and improve the general guest experience.

-Create systems that improve the flow of the restaurant and improve efficiency in a measurable manner

- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and securing revenues.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
