improvement and Epic EMR training role consisting of classroom,
onsite and virtual training support. Responsible for instructional
design and education on multiple applications and workflows across
the front, middle and back of the revenue cycle
process.Participates in end user workflow analysis and validation
during system planning and design phases while applying root cause
analysis methodologies to properly diagnose registration process
failures. Facilitate and manage cross-functional training
improvement initiatives while working with internal customers,
stakeholders, and business leaders to identify the gap between
current and desired result. Trainer will work closely with our
Hospital Billing Departments, Customer Service Single Billing
Office and Clinical Research Billing and continually re-educate
based on department and organization training needs.The scope of
knowledge and education/training content includes all aspects of
hospital billing including insurance eligibility and benefits
coverage verification, pre-service authorization, research billing,
patient account billing and collection, payment and contractual
allowance application, payment denials, customer service, bad debt
management, collection services, charitable care, self-pay
discounts, payment plans, bankruptcy and escheatment, return mail,
UCSD Health and external financial assistance programs,
problem/complaint resolution experience.Collaborate with the
Continuous Improvement Director and Revenue Cycle Leadership to
reduce errors impacting the supported departments and mitigate
controllable loss utilizing the Lean Management Methodology. Serves
as the liaison between the Continuous Improvement Team, Revenue
Cycle, Operational Departments, external partners, and
vendors.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
