Labor and Employment Associate Attorney - California (San Diego preferred), $180,000 to $210,000National law firm is seeking associates with 2-8 years of experience to join its dynamic Labor & Employment management-side team in California (San Diego preferred). Applicants should be either (1) a seasoned employment lawyer who has worked with employers for several years, specifically on advice and transactions, such as: discipline and terminations, severance and employment agreements, handbooks and policies, accommodations and leaves of absence, wage and hour issues, etc.; and or (2) an employment litigator who possesses excellent academic credentials, knowledge of State and Federal fair employment laws, wage-hour laws, FMLA, and related laws, and experience in case preparation related to employment matters before state and federal agencies and courts. Applicants should have the ability to take responsibility for matters without significant detailed guidance, including counseling employers, responding to administrative charges, attending hearings, mediating employment disputes, drafting and responding to discovery, drafting motions in federal and state court, and working up a case for trial.
