Job Description:

With direct supervision, program the content management for National University System (NUS) and affiliate websites by designing, coding and modifying, from layout to function and according to clients' specifications. Strive to create visually appealing themes and plugins that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation. Essential Functions:

• Designs and develops responsive design websites using web standards and user experience measurements; constructs user interfaces for NUS websites and/or web applications.
• Programs websites, mobile sites, intranets, email marketing and other digital projects based on customer requirements; builds and animates web banners using modern techniques; ensuring all assignments are error free; maintains existing websites built in HTML and Wordpress.
• Develops themes, child themes and related functionality for a WordPress multisite network.
• Participates actively in the WordPress community, and is a key stakeholder and visionary of future WordPress and content management.
• Collaborates with internal clients to assess needs in development of themes, child themes, and related functionality for a WordPress multisite network

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, required; and, three (3) to six (6) years' relevant experience in programming and modifying different marketing modalities; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods and techniques and equipment, including knowledge of graphic layout and photographic requirements and procedures; Ability to translate designs (PSD, AI, Sketch) into functional Web interfaces
  • Intermediate use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individual of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities. Physical Demands/Environment: Sedentary work.
