Job Description:

The Senior Software Quality Engineer is responsible for leading and managing testing efforts for software releases either on their own or with a team. They will have in depth experience designing, developing, and implementing methods for testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. The Senior Software Quality Engineer will strive to deliver early feedback on the health of low-level complex functions and features when overall system features are not yet fully developed; as well as comprehensive end to end testing and feedback of inputs and outputs tied to Critical Operations of the system.The Senior Software Quality Engineer will work and participate in a feedback driven, team-oriented environment whether remotely or onsite. They will be technically adaptable and be able to develop, organize, execute, and document technical testing aimed to inform development early of potential defects, while meaningfully complimenting testing already being performed by the Software Quality test team, minimizing duplication of that effort. The Senior Software Quality Engineer will strive to continually innovate and improve software test processes aimed to make the team more efficient and effective. They will exemplify technical leadership and be willing to provide training and guidance for the Software Quality test team.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Lead software quality projects and provide technical guidance to the Software Quality Assurance team in the analysis, design, testing, and deployment of software applications. Responsible for ensuring software releases that are high quality and assuring those releases are compliant with technical specifications. Provide documentation trace matrices and assist with implementation and maintenance of quality systems for managing software and documentation that is compliant with the relevant medical regulatory standards. Provide highly efficient, high quality SQE testing, documentation and leadership. Must be collaboration oriented and value clear and concise communication.ADDITIONAL DUTIES:May perform additional duties as assigned or directed by management from time to time.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 5 years of software quality assurance experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in Software Quality Engineering in a regulated life sciences environment
  • Ability to understand and configure documentation trace matrices
  • Experience with quality systems for managing software and documentation to meet relevant regulatory standards for risk, requirements, tests and defects.REQUIRED SKILLS:
    • Must understand and demonstrate compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
    • Strong understanding of ALM and Traceability in a regulated Environment
    • Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria.
    • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must.
    • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in end user satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
    • Strong understanding of various software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative) and contemporary software quality testing processes, methodology and automated tools.
    • Excellent communication skills verbally and must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to written documentation.
    • Ability to effectively implement various testing techniques (black and white box, regression, exploratory, etc.)
    • Ability to breakdown, organize and assess appropriate test strategies in a regulated environment. Must be technically adaptable with experience in .NET and AWS environments.
    • Ability to leverage experience to provide highly efficient and effective software testing documentation and leadership
    • Experience with Salesforce, Quickbase and LIMS systems would be a bonus.REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
