Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Technical Editor and
Writer.This position will support international Global Hawk
programs and be located in Sierra Vista, Arizona or Rancho
Bernardo, CA. **However, teleworking will be considered.**What You
Will Get to Do: Writes rewrites and/or edits technical documents
such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming
manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related
technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively using
Extensible Markup Language (XML) and adhering to an S1000D
specification and instructions to United Sates Air Force (USAF) and
international customers. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing
product developers, observing performance of production methods,
referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering
illustrations, and trade journals. Oversees preparation of
illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams, and
charts. Conducts quality review of materials.As a full-time

Qualifications**+ At least 10 years of relevant experience with
Bachelor's Degree; In lieu of formal degree, High School Diploma or
equivalent (GED) and at least 13 years of relevant experience in a
related technical field+ Complete understanding and application of
principles, concepts, practices, and standards+ Full knowledge of
industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and
ability to perform highly complex professional tasks+ Must be able
to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications,
and system description documents+ Be able to write in
XML**Preferred Qualifications**+ Currently hold an active DoD
Secret clearance+ Experience with the Eagle/EPS publishing system+
Experience in utilizing the USAF Flight Manual or Maintenance
Manual change process+ Experience writing in XML/S1000D
International Specification for Technical Publications/IETM/Data
Module writing (Arbortext, EAGLE, XMetal, or similar program)+ At
least 4 years' experience in an electronic/avionic field or in a
Department of Defense (DoD) maintenance backgroundSalary Range:
$81,600.00 - $128,900.00Employees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
