Interactive Entertainment PlayStation San Diego, CA This position
is on-site in San Diego, CA, for a temporary engagement through our
staffing partner DZConneX (Yoh Services). The anticipated duration
of this engagement will vary. The duration of the assignment cannot
exceed 24 months. The Content & Ratings department is a unique team
nestled under the Engineering, Compliance & Release pillar within
PlayStation Studios QA. The Content & Ratings team provides
services that help inform stakeholders of potential content risk
for all 1st and SIE published 2 nd party products. The Content &
Ratings team also help to obtain desired global age rating
certificates and guide teams to remain within that assigned rating
with all post-release content. The Content & Ratings QA tester is
an entry level team member tasked with performing title content
reviews, low-risk asset management, low- scope process improvement
assignments, and other administrative duties. The Content & Ratings
Tester is integral to our team's reputation for exemplary customer
service. The Content & Ratings Tester works closely with the senior
staff members to gain an understanding of how content analysis and
risk identification impacts a title's global release and
contributes to the business goals of our organization. Assigned
projects will be considered low risk, with an aim towards helping C
staff accomplish tasks that require additional resources or
support. The Content & Ratings Tester will spend approximately 90%
of their time on title review (collaborating with test teams) and
content research-related tasks, with the remaining 10% spread
across administrative tasks (archiving submission assets, updating
equipment, investigating new techniques to optimize day-to-day
operations, etc.). Responsibilities: Manage the responsibilities of
the Content Risk Assessment Test Suite, with direction from senior
staff, which may include: Communicate with QA testers throughout
the Content Risk Assessment review for lower risk titles, support
the senior staff on AAA/high profile titles. Review products and
report content concerns through the Content Risk Assessment
Research global perspectives around content concerns to assist in
guiding teams on avoiding risk Capture requested video segments for
use in various global review efforts Manage the responsibilities of
the Global Age Rating Submission Process, with direction from
senior staff, which may include: Communicate with QA testers
throughout the Age Rating review for lower risk titles, support the
senior staff on AAA/high profile titles. Review products for
potential Age Rating concerns and scenes required for submission to
Age Rating boards Provide feedback on questionable content areas
present in the title Capture requested video examples Other
Responsibilities: Track testing progress via Test Rail Enter and
manage Jira tickets and required updates for Content Risk
Assessment reviews Assist in providing information necessary for
weekly reports Archiving of Age Rating and Content Risk Assessment
assets and materials Qualifications: At least 1 year in the game
industry Familiar with the general aspects of the QA testing life
cycle Ability to multi-task effectively; Content & Ratings Testers
deal with multiple projects and processes simultaneously, and they
must be able to prioritize and handle tasks in an ever-shifting
environment Basic knowledge of platform technology & Content &
Ratings core services/systems/requirements Desired qualifications:
Degree or equivalent certificate in the field of Business, Computer
Science, Project Management and/or Communication from a fully
accredited university/business lead course preferred At least 3
years in the game industry High level of knowledge around aspects
of the QA testing life cycle Ability to multi-task effectively;
Content & Ratings Testers deal with multiple projects and processes
simultaneously, and they must be able to prioritize and handle
tasks in an ever-shifting environment Basic knowledge of the Global
Age Ratings Guidelines and Regulations, Legal & Business Affairs
processes, and an understanding of the impact these processes have
on the industry and our business General awareness of cultural and
societal topics and concerns in global pop culture. Equal
