Duties and Responsibilities The Technical BSA will work
side-by-side with key business and technical stakeholders to elicit
solution requirements, drive the solution design, and ensure the
finished product meets the needs of the business. The Technical BSA
will work on a variety of projects from mobile and content
management systems to large system integration and modernization
efforts spanning multiple lines of business. The Technical BSA will
work to bridge the gap between business and technology to ensure
solutions provide the value the business requires as well as are
scalable and maintainable to support the ever-changing needs of the
organization. In this position, you will also be called upon to
provide leadership through experience and help shape the strategy
of our organization. Duties include:
- Handles day-to-day management of the business analysts and
their associated tasks. Will handle core and contingency
assignments while tracking deliverables through created, agreed,
and managed timelines.
- The Technical BSA will need to have a strong sense of urgency,
superior organizational skills, and the ability to successfully
interface with clients.
- Ensures methodologies, delivery processes, and implementation
management processes are followed
- Balance business and technology issues as well as communicate
appropriately with both technology and business.
- Conduct analysis of business issues and challenges. Triage
incoming issues and assign to staff and track progress, assist with
escalations.
- Work with other Business Analysts to identify strengths and
weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement.
- Recommend solutions to improve business decision-making with a
focus on the core systems, technology strategies, and
standards.
- Facilitate group meetings such as workshops and training.
- Work with end-users to define and execute test scenarios and
ensure appropriate end-user training.
- Perform analysis of requests for system development/maintenance
and determine the most effective approach.
- Work closely with the development team, and develop project and
program documentation and specifications including Functional and
Technical Requirements documentation.
- Develop target achievements and completion dates and enforce an
agreed-upon schedule.
- Timely communication of project statuses
- Be responsive to all production problems assigned.
Qualifications Specific qualifications for the Business System
Analyst position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science,
MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated progression and growth as a Business Systems
Analyst through past career experiences with a minimum of 5 years
of experience on IT-related projects.
- Familiarity with multi-system integration and common issues
that can arise when integrating enterprise technologies.
- Experience creating sequence, data flow, and process flow
diagrams that visualize the future state.
- Awareness of object-oriented development practices and the
ability to define objects within an organization and individual
processes.
- Understanding of current IT architecture solutions (Cloud,
APIs, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills leveraged to
interface with senior business leadership and technical
resources.
- Ability to create test scripts.
- Ability to write and perform basic SQL queries.
- Software development work or education experience
preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as an
understanding of SDLC/PMLC processes.
- Prior mortgage experience is preferred, but not required.
Requirements Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an
office setting. Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard
and mouse. Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and
associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal
conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive,
distinguish and interpret information received visually and through
audio, e.g., words, numbers, and other data broadcasted
aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
Environmental: Office environment no substantial exposure to
