(IGT)** team, this role will support the high-growth Image Guided
Therapy Devices business. With our image-guided therapy solutions,
we are touching the lives of patients all over the world, and we
aim to treat patients better by innovating the procedure. We bring
together the most sophisticated imaging systems, smart therapeutic
and diagnostic devices, disease-specific software, and services in
integrated solutions. In turn, our solutions help caregivers
decide, guide, treat and confirm the right therapy for each
patient.You will work on the development of Intravascular
Ultrasound Systems. As a member of an international
cross-functional team, you work closely together with electrical
engineers, transducer engineers, software engineers, system
engineers, and ultrasound engineers.**You are responsible for**+
Being a key contributor to the development of medical capital
equipment+ Architect, design, and develop embedded software for
intravascular ultrasound systems.+ Interfacing with
multi-disciplinary teams consisting of marketing, hardware,
software, catheter design, and manufacturing to refine design
requirements for next generation intravascular ultrasound devices.+
Create software requirement specifications, software architecture
documents, and detailed software design documents.+ Design and
debug firmware for embedded processors, microcontrollers, digital
signal processors, and other electronic components using C and/or
C++.+ Generating and releasing design documentation per production
development procedures.+ Leading, generating and conducting formal
verification and validation plans for completed designs in
collaboration with Quality and Regulatory.+ Conducting technical
design reviews with the project team(s) and independent subject
matter experts across the company.**You are part of**A global,
cross-functional technical team responsible for the design,
development, and implementation of Intravascular Ultrasound
products. You are a member of the Ultrasound Engineering team.**To
succeed in this role,** **you'll need a customer-first attitude and
the following**+ BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,
Biomedical Engineering, or related field.+ 5 + years experience in
software/firmware development preferably in the field of medical
electronics.+ Experience with object-oriented programming languages
(C++), design, and coding+ Industry experience creating detailed
design documentation (specifications, design descriptions,
verification and testing plans).+ Ability to work in a team
environment and highly matrixed organization+ Familiarity with
cardiac and vascular catheterization procedures, tools, and
terminology desired+ Capability to work in a fast paced, regulated
environment, with strict adherence to a quality system+
Demonstrated skill in solving problems+ Knowledge of digital signal
and image processing would be a plus+ Ability to communicate
effectively, both oral and written, in order to establish and
maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted
in the course of performing assigned duties including Company
