your potential.The Cogito Analytics Developer designs and
implements reporting content and analytics tools. This person works
full-time to meet end-user data needs and is a part of the
Enterprise Analytics Team. This individual analyzes and defines
report requirements; documents specifications, designs, develops,
tests, installs, implements, and maintains operational reports for
assigned clinical and revenue applications. This individual works
in conjunction with an Epic Analytics Developer to design and
implement robust analytics solutions for advanced projects and
self-service needs. This individual will serve as a liaison to the
customer and application teams in order to assure reporting
accurately reflects workflows and data output.Responsibilities
Include:Collaboration:
- Works with the Cogito project manager and analytics developers
(BIDs) to identify and develop appropriate solutions for various
reporting needs
- Reviews and approves existing Reporting Workbench templates and
creates any needed additional templates
- Works with reporting subject matter experts to identify the
needs of report consumers
- Works with subject matter experts, application analysts and
analytics developers to design specifications for custom analytics
solutions
- Designs, implements, and maintains an enterprise-wide Reporting
Workbench and Radar security policy
- Maintains the Cogito Catalog and associated metadata
records
- Responsible for setting up SlicerDicer data models and working
with the analytics developers to design custom filters
- Assists the principal trainer with developing training
curriculum and training power reporting users
- Provides data as required to assist application analysts and
stakeholders with ad-hoc requestsFacilitation:
- Identifies subject matter experts to participate in
requirements gathering
- Facilitates analytic project design sessions and manages
project workload
- Assists with the translation of end-user workflow-based report
requests to specific data points required for report
development
- Facilitates SlicerDicer data model implementation sessions and
acts as a mini-project manager
- Facilitates and maintains the Cogito Catalog
- Facilitates requirements gathering for all extractsCreation:
- Builds Radar dashboards for report consumers
- Builds Reporting Workbench reports, templates, and
extracts
- Builds SlicerDicer data queries for consumers
- Builds reports and visualizations in third party tools (SAP Web
Intelligence & Power BI) using groomed data layers
- Develops reports and dashboards to support clinical and revenue
initiatives long-termEvaluation:
- Creates data for report testing and ensures that all
application dashboards and reports are tested
- Ensures that consumers are satisfied with reports and
distribution tools
- Performs upgrade testing
- Evaluates overall consumer happiness with reportsKey
competencies
- Familiarity with Epic reporting tools
- Familiarity with the Foundation System reports available for
the applications they are working with
- Familiarity with SQL queriesThis is a Full-Time, Salary
position, work from home, but does require relocation to San Diego.
-Includes $5,000 retention incentive and $5,000 relocation
assistance to eligible new hires. -Must already be Epic
certified/accredited in order to be eligible for incentives. -The
following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

remain eligible for your retention incentive the following
-criteria must be met:
- Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if
specified in offer -letter)
- Must remain in original department/specialty
- Must remain in original Job Title
- Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case
basis and -may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus
unless specifically noted -in your offer letter.Preferred
Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- 2 years' experience working with an EHR or 3 years' experience
working in a business or clinical operations setting
- Prior Nursing Manager or clinical experience working in OR,
Cath Lab, or Radiology
- Previous Healthcare experience
- Bachelors degree
- Basic SQL programming and data summarization
- proven attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skillsRequired
Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Excellent critical and analytical thinking and customer service
skills.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of multiple cross functional
applications.
- Business acumen in multiple functional areas.
- Expert knowledge SQL, ETL, data modeling and/or BI reporting
technologies.
- Bachelors degree or four years of experience as a Business
Intelligence, Analytics or SQL Developer.
- Cogito Certification/Accreditation or able to obtain within 6
months of hire or within 60 days of final classScripps Health is an
