About the RoleWe are looking for experienced -Back-End
Engineer/Developers(IN SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA or remote ) who are
motivated to build modern microservices and platforms.What You'll
Do
- Building highly scalable Kiosk backend architecture with a
continuous delivery pipeline.
- Participate in design sessions to help improve the overall
architecture of platform.
- Work with stakeholders and product owners to understand
requirements and come up with solutions.
- Continuous learning: Tillster provides access to LinkedIn
learning courses where you can beef up your skills in different
areas as needed.
- Utilizing various application integration techniques to
communicate with third party and legacy/back-end systems (POS,
Couponing, Discounting engines etc).
- Help with the development of high-volume, high-performance,
high-availability, service-oriented Java using proven Java
frameworks and technologies.About You
- 5+ years' experience in design and development of
service-oriented Java -
- Design and develop reusable libraries and APIs and
microservices
- Experience with relational or NoSQL data stores would be an
added advantage
- Relevant O/S knowledge (Linux/Unix and Windows), Networking
knowledge and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, with good verbal
and written skills.
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Previous experience with Point-of-Sale development or payment
systems is a plus but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or similar) or
equivalent experience.
- Prior experience with AWS and companion technologies like S3,
DynamoDB, SQS, etc. would be great but not required.
- Prior experience with any Front End technologies, preferably
Angular would be great but not required.
- Prior experience with developing on-premise systems such as
Kiosk, Point of Sale etc would be great but not required.The

- Expected base salary range $105,000 - $140,000. Total starting
compensation will be determined based on all lawful criteria,
Company policy and best practices.
- Equity: All employees within the U.S. are eligible to
