The SSS department is the Integration, and Test arm of system engineering to IDS radar, sensor and ship systems programs. SSS Engineers are involved in all aspects of a programs life cycle from development to sell-off and deployment of systems. SSS engineers are reasonable for the integration and selloff of system requirements to internal and external customers. Here are currently some of the programs that SVTAD SSS supports in San Diego CA. Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), GPS-based Position, Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS), Landing Platform Dock (LPD) programs and Zumwalt Total Ship Activation.Job Description:Architect, Develop and Maintain Test automation and Simulation software.Collaborate with other software and hardware engineers to identify and correct issues and defects.Create and update test procedures.Perform design, development, analysis, and debugging of system problems, root cause analysis, and development of corrective actions.Develop Test Automation capabilities to interface with the system under test.Develop data visualization and tools to aid in troubleshooting of software development and test.Develop metrics and analysis dashboards to provide real time feedback during automated test .Collaborate with engineers and take ownership authority to integrate, execute and sell-off requirements to verify a successful run for record in the laboratory environment to the Customer Interface with leads and use integrated test processes, metrics, and techniques to accurately assess integration task progress and statusThis position can be a Salary Grade G10 or G11 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.Required Skills:8 years of experience in development in C, C++, C#, and SQL.Experience working with SQL databases.Experience in programing TCP/IP and Serial interfaces.Experience developing Simulation/Stimulation base on Interface Design DocumentationRequired: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.--- Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Desired Skills:Experience with Naval Tactical Data System(NTDS) interfaces Experience with RTI DDS middleware.Knowable of Gherkin and Cucumber test Automation tools.Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation ServerFamiliar with Agile software developmentExperience with using Test Automation to sell off software and system requirements. --Education:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
