Senior Staff Telecom Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Vendor relationships to drive effectiveness, cost and
meet business requirements.
- Responsible for managing all Telecom financials including
wired, wireless and hardware contracts. May also be asked to assist
in managing other areas financial spend and accounting.

- In depth understanding of finances related to Telecom spend and
how they are accounted for.
- Experience in bidding out large structured projects to multiple
vendors. Performing scoring analysis and vendor interviews to
determine best choice.
- Ability to craft contracts with favorable terms and conditions
to support business needs and financial requirements.
- Prior experience working with third-party negotiation
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the telecom field.
- In depth knowledge of key vendors in telecom industry (i.e.
AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Cox, CenturyLink, etc.)
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical
discipline, and a minimum of 13+ years related experience or a
Masters degree and 8+ years equivalent industry experience of a PhD
and 5+ years of experience.

Functional Description/Track (Technical):
Provides the planning, design, acquisition and implementation of
the companys communications system. Evaluates company requirements
to determine whether an internal or other operating system is more
appropriate. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor
comparisons. Performs traffic study analysis to determine best
configuration of systems.
