Position: Software Engineer
We are a small defense contractor looking for a software engineer with Java, SQL, Web UI programming, and communications protocols experience for the development of a new web based Link 16 spectrum management scheduling application. RESPONSIBILITIES-- Responsible for analysis, design, and development -- Gather and document customer requirements-- Document software design in UML QUALIFICATIONS: -- 8-10 years of software development experience, including 2 or more with Java -- SQL and relational database experience-- Experience with principles of secure web development -- Knowledge of Object Oriented design principles, GOF Patterns, component engineering-- Software development in all aspects of the Model View Controller paradigm-- Working knowledge of UML and Use Cases-- Experience with messaging protocols such as Link 16, Tactical Data Links, TCP/IP (socket level programming), or CDMA-- B.S. in computer science, informatics, physics, mathematics, engineering or related fields required. -- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.-- Self-starter, can work independently or collaboratively, disciplined in sound software development practices.-- Experience with maintaining requirements traceability to code and test modules-- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance PLUSSES-- Experience with developing Link 16 or other Tactical Data Links software -- Experience with automated regression test tools (e.g. IBM Rational Robot, IBM Rational Functional Tester, IBM Rational Test Manager)-- Security+, CISSP, CASP, or equivalent certification-- Experience creating and using virtualization technologies, Virtual Machines-- Experience with Hibernate/ Top Link or other O/O relational database frameworks
