Job Description:
A Director of Continuous Improvement is a strategic leader
responsible for driving organizational efficiency, effectiveness,
and growth through the implementation and management of continuous
improvement initiatives. This role focuses on identifying and
eliminating waste, streamlining processes, and fostering a culture
of innovation and improvement across the organization. This role
will take ownership of building a world class continuous
improvement culture from the ground up across the entire network to
include the execution of a implementing a robust certification
program for all exempt employees within supply chain operations.
Responsibilities Develop a Continuous Improvement Strategy:
Establish a comprehensive strategy aligned with organizational
goals, including the selection and prioritization of improvement
projects, the deployment of methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma),
and the establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track
progress. This includes owning the network 3-year long range
planning process for all sites across the network. Implement a
Continuous Improvement Strategy: Lead & develop a team of Sr.
Managers of continuous improvement leaders across the network that
are responsible for development and implementation of Footlocker’s
operational strategic projects as part of the sites continuous
improvement roadmaps, change management plans, cost optimization,
and Operational Excellence Training. Lead and Manage Improvement
Projects: Facilitate and support project teams in identifying,
analyzing, and implementing improvements, ensuring alignment with
the overall strategy and effective execution. Must be responsible
for the approval of all projects to achieve annual cost savings
targets, and to ensure projects meet standards for certification
requirements. Champion Continuous Improvement Culture: Foster a
culture of continuous improvement by promoting awareness, training,
and engagement across the entire Footlocker organization including
of supporting projects outside of supply chain to help achieve
larger Lace Up plan initiatives. Identify and Eliminate Waste:
Analyze processes and identify areas for improvement, including
waste reduction, streamlining workflows, and optimizing resource
utilization. Facilitate Problem-Solving and Data Analysis: Conduct
root cause analysis, problem-solving workshops, and data analysis
to identify and address process inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Develop and Implement Best Practices: Identify and share best
practices from within the organization and across industries to
promote knowledge transfer and continuous improvement. Collaborate
and Communicate: Work effectively with cross-functional teams,
stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment and support for
continuous improvement initiatives. Manage and Mentor Teams:
Provide guidance, training, and coaching to teams involved in
continuous improvement projects, ensuring their successful
execution. Measure and Report on Progress: Track key performance
indicators (KPIs) and report on the progress and impact of
continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Required
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain,
Engineering or related field preferred Minimum of 7 years of
leadership experience over a corporate continuous improvement
program Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain. Warehouse
and Distribution experience preferred. Blackbelt in 6-sigma
required; preferred Master Blackbelt in 6-sigma. Strong
understanding of LEAN principles & the TPS (Toyota Production
System) methodologies: (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S) and their
application within a business context. Minimum of 5 years of
experience working in a Warehouse Management system. Experience
with Manhattan Associates preferred. Experience with Warehouse
Execution System (WES) and Warehouse Control System (WCS).
Experience with Fortna WES, Trew/ TKO WES, Cirrus Tech WCS, and
Beumer WCS preferred. Proficient in developing and maintaining
labor production standards. Knowledge of MOST (Maynard Operation
Sequence Technique) and Manhattan Associates WMoS Labor Management
experience strongly preferred. Strong ability to perform
statistical analysis to improve process control. Ability to travel
50-80% of the time domestically across the United States & Canada.

continuous improvement projects: in diverse organizational
settings. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making
skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation
skills: to effectively engage with diverse audiences. Leadership
and influencing skills: to drive change and promote a culture of
continuous improvement. Project management and organizational
skills: to effectively manage projects and teams. Physical Demands:

Required to stand (stationary position) during scheduled hours.
Hours usually include weekends, evenings and holidays in
conjunction with labor regulations. Specific vision abilities
required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee is
regularly required to communicate using various methods. May be
required to move up to 40 lbs. (range may vary based on work
assignment) with or without assistance. Based on business necessity
team members may be required to temporarily work in other locations
that require different physical demands. Benefits The annual base
salary range is $140,000 - $165,000 / year. This range represents
the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.
This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that
align with individual and company performance. Salary will be
determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and
abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with
