Full-time Description EVERY EMPLOYEE IS EXPECTED TO UPHOLD OUR CORE VALUES Here to Help Attitude | Deliver Quality | Protect Health | Value Education | Embrace Transparency IMPORTANT ROLES WITHIN THE COMPANY The WDO Repair Technician is accountable for : Fulfilling contracted WDO repair services Completing work on time and within budget Supporting marketing initiatives ESSENTIAL DUTIES (80%) Follow directions of Supervisor or crew lead. Read, interpret, and understand WDO crew sheet and reports. Follow procedures for purchasing supplies and turning in receipts. Complete work orders according to Thrasher standards using power tools and hand tools. Maintain a clean and safe work site. Document work with before and after photos and completed crew sheet as instructed. Communicate with the customer to provide a positive experience with our company. Follow customer instructions to secure the premises. When requested by supervisor, lead a simple walk-through of the project with the customer before and/or after work is complete. Follow company process to communicate any issues with the job, materials, customer, further damage, timeline, safety, or other issues. Maintain assigned company equipment. HERE TO HELP ATTITUDE: OTHER DUTIES (15%) Assist other departments as needed. Communicate with teammates and supervision/management to promote organization. Escalate issues as necessary to supervisor. Work overtime and weekends as needed. Cover for other teammates as needed. Other duties as assigned. Working outdoors Climbing ladders, stairs, decks, etc. Handling and applying pesticides Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Crawling Bending Twisting Kneeling Squatting Walking & standing for extended periods of time Working with power & manual tools overhead Able to drive 15-45 minutes at a time Ability to use smart phone/tablet Working in various types of weather (Hot and Cold) Working in confined spaces Must use and maintain the safety equipment including bump cap, gloves, goggles, respirators, eye washers and first aid kits Ability to wear a respirator for long periods of time Each Employee is to place safety and health requirements as first importance in the performance of their work duties . Each employee must obey safety instructions, rules, policies, and procedures and use company-provided safety devices and safety equipment. SAFETY POLICIES Comply with all company policies, safety program guidelines, OSHA laws and regulations. Comply with all county and company guidelines for Covid-19 and other communicable diseases.? Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Insurable by motor vehicle insurer (clean driving record). Incumbents must demonstrate the ability to follow policies and procedures as established in the Company’s Employee Handbook. Incumbents will also contribute to a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a manner such that they have a good relationship with all constituent groups, co-workers, and management. In addition, the education, experience, and other skills listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS Required: none WORK EXPERIENCE Preferred: two (2) years of carpentry and general home repair experience Preferred: one (1) year in the termite and pest control business KEY SKILLS SET Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills Team player Able to take the initiative Comfortable with speaking to customers Strong attention to detail Able to adjust to a schedule that is based on company needs Dependable and punctual Preferred: Bilingual English and Spanish at a conversational level
