Job Description:

A Business Advisor is a sales staff role focused on revenue generation through the sale of outsourced payroll/benefits/HR services to new clients and the upsell of these same services to existing clients. Executing designated initiatives, campaigns and activities, the Business Advisor will meet or exceed personal client acquisition, service utilization and revenue generation targets, thereby, contributing to the achievement of the Sales team's goals. Using a variety of lead generation avenues and consultative selling methods, the Business Advisor will persuade leads to become clients and motivate existing clients to increase their use of G&A Partners' services. The Business Advisor will partner with leadership, colleagues and other organizational constituencies to achieve revenue generation targets, account growth goals and increase G&A Partners market share.

  • Generating revenue through the acquisition of new clients and the identification of additional revenue streams in existing clients by executing defined campaigns, activities and initiatives.
  • Maintaining a consistent level of high quality prospecting/lead identification by leveraging a range of business development platforms. This includes but is not limited to: cold-calling, face-to-face meetings and developing leads generated via trusted advisors, networking, emails, events and social media platforms.
  • Generating new clients through referrals from existing client relationships.
  • Creating and delivering prospect/client proposals, individually and in collaboration with other team members. Proactively contributing to the development of price quotes, implementation plans, engagement scope definition, role/responsibility definition.
  • Serving as communication and delivery liaison between clients and other G&A Partners' teams by clearly communicating engagement details, expectations and timeframes.
  • Managing the sales cycle to maximize "closures" by tracking key client data including: specific revenue opportunities, strategic motivators, funding, key stakeholders, decision makers, purchasing processes, number of employees, benefits or workers' compensation insurance renewal date, etc.
  • Contributing to the achievement of organizational goals by actively participating in cross-functional teams on activities such as: marketing, product/service lines, tools and technology, forecasting, target definition, problem resolution, strategy execution and special projects as may be required from time to time.
  • Supporting business development initiatives at events through participation, execution and collaboration, including pre-event and post-event activities.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of G&A Partners' history, mission, value proposition, services, as well as, current market trends, conditions and offerings. Enabling effective client education by highlighting G&A Partners' ROI and differentiators.
  • Inputting prospect/lead/client activity data, via CRM to track and maintain accurate, up-to-date lead/applicant/client information, monitor client/lead status, manage pipelines and track performance-to-plan status.
  • Provide reports on pipeline and sales activity, performance-to-plan status, account development, client information and trends as may be required by management.
  • Actively contribute to the achievement of Sales Team goals through participation in: meetings, forecasting, execution planning, target definition, problem resolution, strategy development, recommendations for improvement, and special projects as may be required from time to time.
  • Teaming, as requested by management, to achieve organizational goals by executing assignments and tasks, across all functional/operational areas of the organization.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)The key performance indicators by which the individual performance of this role will be measured and evaluated include, but are not limited to:
    • Revenue generated
    • New clients/accounts closed
    • Contribution to the achievement of team and organizational goals and targets
    • Activities such as cold calls, face-to-face initial meetings, trusted advisor visits, proposals, and personal networking events
    • Execution of assigned roles/roles and responsibilities consistent with guidelines, schedules and timelines provided by management.Required Skills and Experience
      • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field: or, an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
      • Minimum of three (3) years business-to-business sales experience: selling professional services to small and midsize companies.
      • Skilled and knowledgeable in the use of a CRM to maintain accurate information, track client and lead activity and produce various client related reports.
      • Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding individual and team revenue generation goals in a competitive environment.
      • Skilled at consultative and solution focused selling practices; combined with a persuasive, engaging face-to-face communication demeanor and clear, professional phone presence.
      • Aptitude and expertise in establishing productive relationships with managers, colleagues, clients, partners and associates with an emphasis on two-way communication and execution of strategic objectives.
      • Fluency in the entire Microsoft Office suite of products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Proficiency in the use of personal computers (desk-top, laptop), peripherals and mobile devices (tablet, smart phone).
      • Ability to work independently, within established parameters, while understanding the necessity for communicating/coordinating work efforts with colleagues and management.
      • Can-do, positive mental attitude, exhibited by proactive engagement, commitment and follow through, overcoming challenges, treating all with respect, candor and complete communication that empowers individual and team resilience and optimism.
