Description:Position Description Seeking an Experienced Civil Estimator, to work with the VP of Construction. You will be responsible for the complete preparation of hard bid and budgetary estimates. You will assist with preparation of bid packages for both negotiated and hard bid projects. Estimator must be familiar with DoD/Federal, and Public Works projects from $5 to 25 million. Essential Job Accountabilities Analyze and compile estimate data that impact the cost of labor, materials, equipment requirements, location and other factors to ensure a high quality and timely estimate. Review drawings, specifications and proposed project site conditions; record findings and solicit input from field operations to include in final project estimate. Review "take-off" quantities to ensure accuracy of data used in estimates. Present estimate and participate in bid reviews with upper management to ensure accuracy and completeness. Work Experience 5-10+ years estimating experience including experience bidding underground structures and utilities Must have experience bidding competitively for Military, Public Works, as well as other State Municipalities. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), AGTEK/Heavy Bid/Earthworks Take-off and Scheduling software (P6 or MS Project) Additional Requirements/Skills Collaborative Team Player Ability and willingness to abide by Silverstrand Construction's Values and Expectations Travel to other regions in the State of CA for bidding opportunities which may require air travel and overnight staysExperience Level:Expert Level About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
