Job Description:
An employer in the San Diego, CA area is looking for a Staff
Software Engineer to join their team. They will be joining a team
of 5 engineers and will work closely with internal customers. This
person will be responsible for developing software for instrument
control of DNA Sequencing Devices. They will support a variety of
small projects, such as software upgrades to existing platforms, as
well as large projects focused on new development. This person will
assist in driving innovation at a software product level and
contribute ideas to road mapping. The employer is looking for
senior-level engineer with strong communication and interpersonal
skills to join their team.
-Proficient with source control management repositories (such as
GIT, SVN, etc.) and CM practices
-Experience with or interest in developing software solutions on
Linux
-Experience with user interface development, web, or desktop
-5+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer
-Extensive knowledge and experience with C# and .NET Core
-Experience with C++, C, and embedded systems development
-Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design
-Experience developing software for hardware and/or embedded
systems
-Experience designing and implementing software quality patterns
and practices (i.e. continuous integration, static analysis, unit
testing, integrated testing)
-Experience working in a fast-paced team environment using agile
development methodologies
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in a related field
