eBilling Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The eBilling Specialist will be a member of the eBilling Team. The eBilling team is responsible for all electronic submissions of client invoices through various eBilling vendor websites, assist with new/existing eBilled client implementations, troubleshoot rejected invoices and other issues relating to the successful processing of invoices by clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Submit eBilled client invoices
Identify, research, and troubleshoot rejected invoices for a resolution and resubmission.
Work closely with Billing Specialist to resolve all eBilling related issues to include proper setup of eBilled matters in Aderant billing system to ensure invoices are prepared accurately.
Work closely with the Collection Team to resolve any eBilling issues reported by the client directly to the Collection Team, and follow-up when issues are resolved.
Submit request for accruals, appeals, budgets and timekeepers for approval through eBilling vending sites
Ensure efficient and effective communications regarding eBilling issues relating rejections are sent to the appropriate internal team member and if necessary, to the attorney/legal practice assistant timely and regularly.
Monitor deduction notifications and timely forward to billing specialist and legal practice assistant to obtain the attorney's challenge responses for a timely appeal.
Escalate unresolved eBilling issues to eBilling manager
Report eBilling status for specific clients or as requested to management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

eBilling experience required; minimum of 2 years of eBilling experience preferred.
Minimum 2 years of legal billing preferred.
Previous BillBlast or eBilling Hub experience preferred.
Previous Aderant/CMS experience preferred.
Must possess the ability to clearly communicate in both written and oral form with professionals in the firm and with clients regarding eBilling issues.
Must possess outstanding customer/client service and interpersonal skills.
Must represent the department in a professional and positive manner.
Proficient in the use of Excel.
Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple competing priorities.
Ability to produce high volume, computerized document edits in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
B.A. Experience in a law firm within the Billing team; experience with eBilling
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred.
