BetterNight is a professional medical service and supply company, focused on sleep & sleep therapy. Our focus is on diagnosis on sleep apnea through home sleep study and treatment through the use of CPAP therapy or oral appliance therapy.


This position is responsible for assisting the Accounting team by ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time. Reviews and processes invoices, audits credit card bills, answers vendor inquiries, reconciles vendor statements, processes and maintains 1099 statements, and processes and distributes checks.

Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing vendors
Organizes and matches invoices to purchase orders
Ensures purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other information is accurate
Codes invoices in the correct account or GL number.
Manages AP using QuickBooks, Excel, Brightree and other software programs
Timely sends out invoices for approval and enters approved invoices into the system to be paid on the appropriate due date
Maintains departmental procedures and performs other accounting duties as needed
Runs posting reports and checks for accuracy
Performs daily or weekly check run and mails checks
Balance's vendor statements
Completes credit applications and enters new vendors into the system
Requests Certificate of Insurance and W9's from Sub Contractors as necessary
Contacts vendors, when necessary
Work mandatory overtime as scheduled
Other duties and projects may be assigned


Must be comfortable with basic math calculations
Strong customer service skills and excellent oral and written communication skills required
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations and contracts
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, customers, and the general public
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Must be able to work overtime as scheduled

Bachelors' degree or Associates' degree (A. A.) plus work experience preferred
3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
Intermediate MS Office computer skills required; intermediate skills with Excel spreadsheets
Knowledge of QuickBooks required
Knowledge of Paylocity and Brightree programs preferred
