Thermo Fisher Scientific's Rapid Diagnostics Solutions business is located in San Diego's Sorrento Valley area and manufactures the Accula System for the detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (the virus responsible for COVID-19), providing rapid PCR-based in vitro diagnostic testing now being used in patient care settings.

Position Summary:

As Manufacturing Operator II, you will be responsible for performing a variety of manual assembly functions within a control Dry Room and will be reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and Lead Operators. In this role you will be a valuable part of our production team, ensuring our company goals are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

--- Perform manufacture Medical Device products in multiple work departments (Manufacture Area) in accordance with current good manufacturing practices

--- Occasionally train and mentor others to become proficient within Manufacturing Operations

--- Manually assemble parts within assembly line.

--- Ensure products are build/completed to company quality standard.

--- Work cooperatively with the production team to meet company goals.

--- Communicate any quality and equipment issue to Supervisor.

--- Follow all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to Supervisor

--- Follow all written and verbal instructions.

--- Maintain a clean and safe work area

--- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude

--- Maintain raw materials and finished good counts are accurate.

--- Willingly changes job duties and tasks (whether on a daily, weekly or monthly basis) to support the strategic priorities of the Manufacturing Operation

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

--- High School Degree or equivalent required

--- Minimum of 0-1 year experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment equivalent experience and knowledge

--- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment

--- Detailed oriented

--- Good oral communications skills in English preferred
